Nate lived on an island, thriving for himself sine he was about ten. He sufficed the brutal winter and food and other necessities by killing ruffs and murs, and befriending them as well. He had a small "society" like thing with murs, when he met the group they were harnessing and killing his murs. He was mad, but they ended up befriending him in the long run. He is somewhat afraid of Achilles due to his past.
