Myersville, Ohio seems quiet if you’re just visiting or you've just moved in. The only thing asked of you is that you be indoors by 6PM. Then you have to make sure everyone is indoors by 6PM. No one visits anymore, mainly because of this curfew. There are better reasons for keeping away; like the vampires for instance. After 6PM, the vampire group led by Vladimir Sanguis, called the Mortem Sanguineous, comes to the town and preys on innocent people who happen to be out after dark. This group also has a goal of turning the population of humans in Myersville into a form of livestock for blood. (It’s like how people raise cattle for meat.) There’s also an uprising of citizens from underground. Literally. The underground group of the Vampires and Humans for Freedom (VHFF), led by Peter Scott, has been the only group brave enough to walk the night with the Mortem Sanguineous around. The two groups are at war. Recently, the VHFF has been recruiting new members, but so has the Mortem Sanguineous.
